Few Milestones
Goa Gil is one of the founders of the Goa Trance and Psytrance in Electronic music. Around 1969, he left the United States and settled in Goa, India.
During the early 1980s, being fascinated with early Electronic music, Gil and his friends gathered some equipment and started DJing and playing live music on the Goa beaches.
In 2001, he was interviewed for the documentary “Last Hippie Standing”, which explored the scene in Goa.
In 2006, Goa Gil DJed the all-night closing party of the three-day LSD-Symposium at Basel, Switzerland, in honor of LSD-inventor Albert Hofmann’s 100-years birthday.
In 2017, he released a compilation album, titled “Postcard From Kali”, through the label Xexify.
