HUGEL started working as a music producer in 2005 with influences from Hip Hop, Pop and Electronic. He was also a member of the duo KitSch 2.0.

In 2015, he released his first single “Coming Home”. With this song, he achieved his first chart success in Germany and reached #80 of the charts.

In 2018, HUGEL gained more popularity thanks to his remix of the song “Bella Ciao” which is now associated with the famous Netflix TV series “La Casa De Papel”. Furthermore, the remix was named official summer hit 2018.

After the song “Guajira Guantanamera” was shown in the third season of “La Casa De Papel” like Bella Ciao in the second season, HUGEL produced a remix for it, which was released on August 2019.
