Kölsch played guitar and drums in his childhood. He gained his first experience as a DJ while playing in a youth club.
At the age of 14, he began to create samples on his Amiga 500.

In 2003, he released his successful track “Calabria” under the alias Rune RK. In 2007, the song has been remixed with dancehall beats and vocals. The version has been very successful and peaked #1 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart.

From 2013 to 2017, he released three albums titled “1977”, “1983” and “1989”, which refer to his childhood. Each of them features 13 tracks and contains collaborations with artists such as Gregor Schwellenbach and Tomas Høffding.

In 2017, Kölsch performed on top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, which was streamed to over 10 million people.
