Kungs chose his stage name after searching online for the translation of the word ‘gentleman’ in various languages, which is “Kungs” in  Latvian.

In 2015, he released his remix of Lost Frequencies‘ “Are You With Me”, which achieved more than 34 million views on YouTube.

One year later, he was the opener of some performances in Europe on David Guetta‘s Listen Tour. He also released his first extended play “This Girl” that year.

In 2022, Kungs released his second studio album, titled “Club Azur”, following his first album “Layers” released 6 years earlier.
