Few Milestones
Luke Solomon kicked off his DJ career at Middlesex University in the early 90’s. It wasn’t long before Luke was moving in the upper reaches of House music.
A gig with Derrick Carter led the two to become friends, after which Classic Recordings was born.
For 9 years, the label introduced the world to the likes of DJ Sneak, Tiefschwarz, Isolee and Freeform 5.
In 1996, this was the birth of Freaks, the production team Luke started with Justin Harris. Under this moniker, they released tracks on their Music For Freaks imprint.
In 2008, he released his first solo album, titled “The Difference Engine”, on REKIDS.
Solomon released full-length “Minor Digital Experiment” under his occasional alias the Digital Kid in 2012, in addition to mix CD Cutting Edge.
He also participated in Powerdance, a Nu-disco collective featuring Al Doyle, Danny Ward, James Duncan, and others. Their debut full-length, The Lost Art of Getting Down, was self-released in 2017.
A Famous Track : “Light You Up” (ft. Queen Rose, Amy Douglas)
