Marshmello started his music project in 2015, releasing his first song “Wavez” to his SoundCloud page. He released more song and gained support from musicians such as
Marshmello was frequently suggested to be Chris Comstock, better known as Dotcom.
In 2016, he released his debut album “Joytime”, through his label Joytime Collective, which features 10 tracks. The album peaked #5 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
The same year, Marshmello released “Alone” on the record label Monstercat. The song has received over 1.7 billion views as of August 2020.
In 2018, he released a posthumous collaboration with rapper Lil Peep, named “Spotlight”. The same year, he collaborated with many artists such as Anne-Marie on “Friends”, Logic on “Everyday”.
In 2020, Marshmello featured on another posthumous track “Come & Go”, on rapper Juice Wrld’s album “Legends Never Die”.
