Few Milestones

At the age of 15, Richie Hawtin spent time in Detroit club such as the Music Institute. He started to DJ in Detroit clubs at 17, mainly mixing House and Techno.

In 1989, he met John Acquaviva and they formed the label Plus 8 to release his tracks under the alias of F.U.S.E.

In 1998, Richie Hawtin launched another label M_nus, when Plus 8 was put on hold. His new label developed careers of DJs such as Magda, Gaiser and Troy Pierce.

In 2006, he collaborated with choreographer Enzo Cosimi on a composition called “9.20” for the Winter Olympics opening ceremony.

In 2012, Richie Hawtin worked with Loco Dice and Ean Golden in promoting Electronic Dance Music through US universities. The tour was called “CNTRL: Beyond EDM”.

Richie Hawtin has many alias such as F.U.S.E. but also Concept 1 and Plastikman.

In 2015, he released “From My Mind To Yours” which is an album featuring 15 tracks. The LP commemorate the 25 year anniversary of his record label Plus 8.
